Make a Tribute
A tribute donation is a wonderful way to acknowledge an extraordinary individual in your life. Simply provide the name and address of the person you’d like to send meals to and we’ll send a letter informing them of the donation. All you have to do is choose "Tribute" when you make an online donation.
Stock Gifts
A gift of stock saves in two ways: You avoid capital-gains tax on the increased value and you receive a deduction for the full market value of the stock at the time you make the gift. To ensure proper credit for your gift, you must notify Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois about your contribution.

Give from a Donor Advised Fund
A donor advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving fund administered by a third party that allows you to combine favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support MWNEI. It is created to manage your charitable donations. An increasingly popular charitable vehicle, DAFs provide a way to simplify your charitable giving. DAFs allow you to give cash, stock and other assets and receive a tax deduction when the contribution is made. Then, you may use the fund to grant specific amounts to MWNEI over time.
How it works
Establish your Donor Advised Fund by making an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to a financial company that operates a DAF program, like Vanguard, Fidelity, Schwab Charitable
Determine the investment allocation of the donated assets (any investment growth is tax-free).
Recommend grants to Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois (MWNEI) whenever you wish to make a gift. Please use MWNEI’s full legal name (Meals at Home dba Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois) or employer identification number (EIN) 36-2662113 when searching a DAF charity database.

Vehicle Donation Program
Through our partnership with Meals on Wheels America and the non-profit Melwood, you can donate your vehicle to Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois.
Simply click the button below, select Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois as your recipient, and Melwood will handle the logistics of the donation.
If you have a vehicle that might be useful to Meals on Wheels Northeastern Illinois for deliveries (a truck or a van in good condition), please contact our office directly at 847-332-2678.
